Kitesurfing in the Philippines startet around 2002 at Boracay Island. Some local divers heard about the new action sport and tried it out. They liked it and established the first Kite Centers in the Philippines.

Nowadays Boracay Island has more or less 10 Kite Centers and lots of them are distributors of international and local Kite Brands.
Little by little the kite surfers spread to other wonderful islands of the Philippines.
